Forest Park Adatara, Fukushima, Japan, 2001

A government-sponsored development of a large area of dense forest hillside to create a vacation area where the people of Fukushima can enjoy their natural heritage. The program included cabins, bridges, educational building, recreation building with restaurant and baths. Awarded the National Award of the Japanese Government for Public Architecture in the Environment. Awarded the Fukushima Architecture Award.
