Fukushima Cabins, Fukushima, Japan, 2001

The twenty cabins were designed as long, thin rooms where were 'slid' into the narrow gaps between the trees of the forested hillside. Each had large windows and a balcony on one side only, so that each cabin could looks away from the others.
